Moon

An original Harvester scoop used in the production of Moon, the acclaimed science fiction drama directed by Duncan Jones and starring Sam Rockwell.

This scoop is one of those used on the original Harvester filming miniature created by an effects team headed up by Bill Pearson at Shepperton Studios. Despite the fact there appear to be four Harvesters only one miniature was created for the film with interchangeable name plates which could be swapped around, this was built largely by model shop supervisor Steve Howarth. This scoop is one used on that original model, constructed in plastic it appears to be a digger arm off a commercial toy which has been dressed, painted and weathered for the production with various parts added including small wheels to the scoop rear to aid movement on set.

The scoop measures approximately 11.5" wide and remains in good production used condition exhibiting some dirt from the model set.
