Hand drawn storyboard artwork - Dropship crashes
An original storyboard used in the production of Aliens, the second instalment in the popular Alien film franchise directed by James Cameron.
This original hand drawn storyboard artwork is accomplished in pencil on paper and depicts the scene where the crew flee the Dropship as it crashes on the planets surface. The artwork is rendered on a page which bears the printed shot details 'FX 73, EXTERIOR LANDSCAPE - DROP SHIP - A.P. STATION' with a further description of the action below. All the copies of this storyboard which were distributed to various production members would have originated from this hand drawn original.
The storyboard measures approximately 10" x 8" and remains in excellent production used condition with a small glue mark to the bottom where a further piece of paper was once affixed, overall very fine.
A very fine example of original storyboard artwork detailing a visual effects shot for which this film won the 1986 Academy Award.
