Outland

This large technical drawing was created and utilised during the production of Outland, the 1981 science fiction thriller starring Sean Connery.

Accomplished on tracing paper and hand drawn by John Markwell these are the original design and assembly plans for the lower section of the shuttle platform which was built for the movie. Showing various elevations the plans are highly detailed technical drawings containing notes relating to materials and referencing the build as in both quarter and full scale. The plans are dated 25-2-80, some 15 months prior to the eventual release.

The drawing remains in incredible and near perfect rolled condition with only the most minor traces of edge wear and measures an impressive 51" x 30".
