Aliens

An original miniature created for the production of the 1986 movie Aliens, the second instalment in the popular Alien franchise directed by James Cameron.

This miniature was built by the visual effects team for use on the Hadley's Hope colony. Constructed largely from plastics the miniature is intricately detailed with various kit parts and is painted and weathered to a high standard, it features wheels to the bottom and the design appears to be of some kind of mobile futuristic building. Despite being made for the production we have been unable to determine any screen use and it is likely it was either unused or is not visible on camera.

The miniature measures approximately 10" long and stands 11" high, it remains is good condition with some minor detail lacking in areas, overall fine.

A displayable miniature artefact from this science fiction classic which was awarded the 1986 Academy Award for Best Visual Effects.
