Go for a Take

Original poster artwork from the production of Go for a Take, the 1972 comedy picture starring Reg Varney.

This is the original artwork used on the quad poster with a variation of it also used on the one sheet. The artwork was created by noted artist Arnaldo Putzu and is accomplished in acrylic paint on artists board and features a large likeness of Varney as Wilfred Stone with various other characters, completing the layout is a large clapperboard is cut from paper which has been applied to the board along with Varney's name to the top and the tagline 'GO FOR A LAUGH' in a similar fashion. Around the borders are various hand inscribed notes with a sticker to the bottom right hand inscribed 'DOUBLE TAKE' which the movie is also known by.

The work measures an impressive 43.5" x 29.5" and remains in excellent vintage condition with some minor lifting to the applied paper in areas, overall very fine.
