George Lincoln Rockwell (Marlon Brando) shirt
An original costume used in the production of Roots: The Next Generations, the seven part 1979 television series which serves as a sequel to the 1977 original.
This shirt was worn by Hollywood legend Marlon Brando as George Lincoln Rockwell in the final chapter of the series, a role for which Brando was reportedly paid $25,000 for just one day of filming. The black cotton shirt was custom made for the production by leading industry tailors Western Costume and features its original label to the interior collar which is type written 'MARLO BRANDO' (sic) with his chest, sleeve and collar sizes, later hand inscribed with the size XXL over the number.
The shirt remains in excellent production used condition, very fine.
A extremely rare example of original wardrobe from this highly regarded series which saw Marlon Brando win an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor.
