Doctor Who

An original gas mask used in the production of the long running BBC science fiction television series Doctor Who.

From the 1984 serial Resurrection of the Daleks starring Peter Davison as The Doctor these gas masks can be seen worn by the various crew aboard the space station including Styles (Rula Lenska) and Mercer (Jim Findley) as they do battle with the Daleks. Built for the production by Richard Gregory's effects company Imagineering the helmet is constructed from fibreglass with a grey paint finish and features a grill to the mouth area with a large static visor to cover the face, to the interior are several pieces of foam intended to add some comfort for the wearer.

The mask remains in excellent production used condition exhibiting some surface and paint wear with a minor crack to the top of the visor, overall very fine.
