Blake's 7

An original prop used in the production of the BBC science fiction television series Blake's 7.

From the 1979 series two episode Pressure Point this gas grenade can be seen used as Veron (Yolande Palfrey) knocks out the crew and locks them in the crypt. Constructed by the BBC Visual Effects Department the prop is fabricated from metal with removable end caps and features a hole to the underside through which smoke could be pumped to achieve the effect seen on screen. The weapon has been hand signed by Gareth Thomas who portrayed Blake, this inscribed in black marker.

The prop measures approximately 6" long and remains in excellent production used condition exhibiting surface wear.

A rare example of an original hand prop and a displayable artefact from this cult science fiction television series.
