Full size Triffid cut out
An original prop used in the production of the 2014 comedy spoof rockumentary series Brian Pern: A Life in Rock starring Simon Day in the title role.
This drum skin was used in the second episode of series two in which ageing rocker Brian Pern (Simon Day) presents his musical version of The Day of the Triffids. This full scale Triffid cut out can be seen on the stage during the bands performance, these scenes were filmed at Wembley Arena in London on September 23rd 2014.
Constructed from two pieces of black foam core board with an applied sticker which is a photographic enlargement of a Triffid plant which was likely sourced from the BBC archive and hailed from the 1981 BBC Television adaptation of the Day of the Triffids. This full scale Triffid cut out is one of two made for the production which were placed on either side of the stage during the bands performance. To the rear is a further piece of foam core board which folds out to support the prop making it free standing.
The Triffid measures 120" tall and measures approximately 54" across the widest point of the base, it remains in good screen used condition with some light edge wear.
An imposing and visual artefact featuring a central plot device from this well received BBC comedy series.
Please note that due to large size of this piece we advise that any shipping queries, particularly those of an international nature, are discussed before ordering.
