Tripods (The)

An original prop used in the production of The Tripods, the 1984 BBC science fiction series based on the novels by John Christopher.

This costume was custom made for the production by Keir & Alderson Costumiers and worn on screen by Pam St. Clement as Frau Heinitz in the episode Will is Arrested. The patchwork style tunic features button fastenings to the font and retains its original makers label to the collar which is hand inscribed 'TRIPODS' and 'FRAU HEINITZ'. This costume can be screen matched to the one worn by St. Clement and is almost certainly the only one ever made for the production.

The wardrobe remains in good vintage condition with some minor moth damage, otherwise fine.
