Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze

An original mask used in the production of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze, the 1991 superhero comedy sequel directed by Michael Pressman.

Masks such as this can be seen worn by the various Foot Soldiers throughout the movie. Custom made for the production by Parsons-Mearnes of New York the mask is constructed from a thin spandex like material the mask features large eye holes with a number of metal rings to the nose area to aid breathing and several velcro strips to the neck which would fasten to the tunics, the mask is complete with its original red hachimaki, or headband, which features an embroidered symbol to the front. The interior neck area of the mask features a makers label hand inscribed 'RICH' for credited Foot Soldier Terry D. Rich, additionally inscribed 'SESSOMS' for stunt performer Jimmie Lee Sessoms. The eye mesh was original missing from this mask but has been faithfully and accurately recreated for display by a professional costumier.

The mask remains in excellent production used condition exhibiting some sweat staining, otherwise fine.
