Flash Gordon

An original script used in the production of Flash Gordon, the 1980 science fiction picture directed by Mike Hodges.

This original production used final draft script dated July 1979 consists of 116 pages in addition to a title page which are bound between front and rear covers of green card with a window cut out to the front. The interior title page features a hand drawn illustration of some restraints with 'SHACKLES FOR SLAVES' hand inscribed in pencil before with a further note below which reads 'BUZZING GLOBE WHEN READY'. The green cover is hand inscribed with illegible initials, possibly J.S, in black pen to the top right corner.

The script remains in generally excellent production used condition with some staining to the cover, the script pages themselves remain in fine condition exhibiting only minor edge wear and toning.

A fine example of an original production artefact from this cult science fiction classic.
