Flash Gordon

An original prop used in the production of Flash Gordon, the 1980 science fiction picture directed by Mike Hodges.

Grenades such as this can be seen used by the Hawkmen and by Flash (Sam J. Jones) himself in the climactic battle sequence. Constructed from fibreglass the weapon features a handle at the top with metal mesh to both ends with detailing tape to the centre and is finished in a golden colour paint.

The prop grenade measures approximately 4" in diameter and 6" long, it remains in very good production used condition with some chipping and surface wear.

A highly displayable artefact from this cult science fiction classic.
