Dune

An original storyboard binder used in the production of David Lynch's 1984 film adaptation of Dune, based on the novel by Frank Herbert.

This binder contains approximately 340 crew issue storyboard copies taken from the original renderings for use during the production. A number of the storyboards carry minor annotations with several bearing red, yellow and blue stickers which are hand inscribed with numbers for reference and several boards bearing stickers printed with the date Nov 8 1982. Many of the storyboards created during the production are believed to be the work of noted illustrator Mentor Huebner.

The storyboards measure approximately 11" x 8.5" and the binder in which they are presented 11.5" x 11". The hard wearing binder remains in near perfect condition with the contents again near perfect with some exhibiting only minor edge wear, very fine.

A fascinating insight into the production process of this box office flop which later achieved cult status with science fiction fans.
