Space: 1999

An original miniature used in the production of Space: 1999 the cult science fiction television series produced by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson.

This prop was built by noted model maker Martin Bower who was responsible for creating the majority of the miniatures used on the series. Used on screen in the Year 2 episode Space Warp as the iconic Eagle Transporter docks with the alien craft this docking tube miniature is constructed from EMA plastic with some minor kit part details, it is hand painted and weathered, largely in grey with orange highlights with the final visual effects shot we see on screen having been horizontally flipped.

The docking tube measures approximately 6" long and remains in excellent production used condition.

A fine miniature artefact from this groundbreaking television production which remains highly regarded for its visual effects.
