Derek Meddings Thunderbird 6 concept design artwork
An original concept artwork used in the promotion of Thunderbird 6, the 1968 science fiction picture directed by David Lane and the second feature film based on the popular television series created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson.
This artwork was created by prolific Anderson designer and legendary visual effects director Derek Meddings who would later become an Academy Award winner and one of the most highly respected and influential effects artists of his generation. The highly detailed artwork is accomplished in pencil on artists paper and depicts the design for the new Thunderbird 6 craft which is seen created as a concept model and demonstrated by Brains bearing an excellent likeness to the final design, signed in pencil by artist and visual effects director Derek Meddings.
The artwork measures approximately 10" x 6" and remains in excellent condition with dried tape markings to the verso, overall very fine.
An exceptionally rare example of original production material from this classic Anderson production.
