Davros (Terry Molloy) hand mould
An original mould used in the production of the long running BBC science fiction television series Doctor Who.
This is the original mould used at the BBC Visual Effects Department to create the Davros hand worn on screen by Terry Molloy in the 1984 serial Resurrection of the Daleks starring Peter Davison as The Doctor and Revelation of the Daleks starring Colin Baker as The Doctor the following year. This two part mould was created by sculptor Stan Mitchell who was also responsible for the new Davros mask worn by Molloy and is constructed from solid plaster with impressions of the hand to the interior of both sections.
The mould stands approximately 15" high and weighs 8 kilogrammes, it remains in excellent production used condition with some edge wear and soiling to the exterior, interior very fine.
A very rare example of a genuine original production used mould from this classic science fiction series.
