Space: 1999

An original cryogenic chamber miniature used in the production of the Gerry Anderson television series Space: 1999.

This miniature was created by renowned model maker Martin Bower who constructed most of the models on production and featured in the Year 2 episode The Exiles. The chamber is constructed from perspex and hand painted bright orange with black tape detailing, the rear of the prop features a hole for rigging the miniature for filming. This is the larger of two scales which were constructed by Martin for production and measures approximately 3" long.

The prop remains in excellent production used condition and represents a recognisable miniature from this series which is highly regarded for its ground breaking model miniature effects.
