Blake's 7

An original costume used in the production of the BBC science fiction television series Blake's 7.

From the season 2 episode Weapon this costume was visioned by noted designer June Hudson and worn on screen by John Bennett as rogue scientist Coser. The costume was custom made for the production from Hudson's design by Gordon Garforth and comprises a floor length robe of black velvet with a separate tunic featuring an integral towering collar, this is wonderfully adorned with various gemstones and gilt thread. To the interior the wardrobe retains the original Gordon Garforth makers label which is hand inscribed 'MR JOHN BENNET' (sic), this represents the only example of this costume made for the production and it can be screen matched throughout.

The costume remains in excellent screen used condition, very fine.
