M*A*S*H

An original costume used in the production of M*A*S*H, the classic American comedy drama television series starring Alan Alda.

This green military tie can be seen worn by Harry Morgan as Colonel Sherman T. Potter in various episodes of the series as part of his formal officers dress. The green military jacket is constructed from wool with the traditional features and retains its original 20th Century Fox studio label to the interior pocket which is type written with sizing information and the date 6-44, this faintly hand inscribed 'PAUL STEWART' suggesting it was also used in the 1949 Fox picture Twelve O'Clock High starring Gregory Peck and likely other subsequent productions before its allocation for use by Morgan in M*A*S*H, additionally hand inscribed to the interior collar 'POTTER'.

The wardrobe remains in excellent vintage condition with minimal moth wear, overall fine.

An incredibly rare example of principal character wardrobe from this highly regarded series.
