Colonel Kurtz (Marlon Brando) Time magazine cover
An original prop from the production of Apocalypse Now, the 1979 war epic directed by Francis Ford Coppola.
This Time magazine cover was custom made for the production and is printed on semi gloss paper, dated July 19, 1968 it features the likeness of Colonel Kurtz (Marlon Brando) dressed in his combat shirt and beret with advertisements for alcohol and cigarettes to the interior and back page. Although this cover was ultimately not seen on screen the image used on the front can be seen as Captain Willard (Martin Sheen) is briefed for his mission and later to the interior of another magazine read by Willard.
The magazine cover measures approximately 11" x 8.25" when closed and remains in good production used condition with some minor wear to the spine and verso.
A fine production artefact from this Academy Award winning epic which is frequently regarded as one of the greatest films in the history of cinema.
