Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope

An original prop from the production of the 1977 science fiction picture Star Wars, the first instalment in the classic franchise directed by George Lucas.

Hair such as this was utilised by the production to dress the costume worn by Peter Mayhew as Chewbacca. Originating from the collection of make-up effects designer Stuart Freeborn the section measures approximately 14" long and represents a substantial piece of Chewbacca hair which is more frequently seen in single strands these days, in very fine condition.

A rare and affordable principal character artefact from one of the most influential and highly regarded franchises in cinematic history.
