Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back

An original map used in the production of the 1980 science fiction picture The Empire Strikes Back, the second instalment of the classic Star Wars franchise directed by Irvin Kershner.

This crew copy map of Finse in Norway was issued to Academy Award winning visual effects artist Brian Johnson who was part of the group which visited the site in 1978 to scout for filming locations. The map details the area where filming took place and highlights the location of the shooting area and hotel used by the crew in addition to pointers relating to the local winter tracks and railway.

The map is A4 in size and remains in overall excellent condition with some light edge wear and four minuscule holes.

A rare production artefact from one of the most influential and highly regarded franchises in cinematic history.
