Space: 1999

A set of original storyboards used in the production of the cult science fiction series Space: 1999 produced by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson.

For the Year One episode Collision Course these hand drawn storyboards were created by noted visual effects artist Brian Johnson who would go on to win Academy Awards for his work on The Empire Strikes Back and Alien. The seven A4 storyboards were hand drawn by Johnson whilst designing the visual effects shots for the episode, five of the pages feature vibrant full colour artwork accomplished in pen and coloured with felt tips with each page containing four illustrations with scene descriptions underneath relating to the shot which are all inscribed in Johnson's hand. Each of the storyboards are stamped and hand signed by special effects director Brian Johnson, directly from his private collection they represent an exceptional example of original artwork from the series.

The storyboards remain in excellent condition with only minimal edge wear having been carefully stored since the production, very fine.
