Armageddon

An original prop used in the production of Armageddon, the 1998 science fiction disaster picture starring Bruce Willis under the direction of Michael Bay.

These pipe tongs can be seen used by Harry Stamper (Bruce Willis) to choke Colonel Willie Sharp (William Fichtner) as he overpowers him following the remote activation of the nuclear weapon. The large prop tongs are constructed from resin and feature a scissor action designed to grip a pipe with markings to the handles in raised lettering 'PENNINGTON PNEK-RENCH USA'. The handles of the oversized prop are designed to touch before the hole closes to such a degree that it would not actually choke the actor.

The tongs measure approximately 30" long and remain in excellent production used condition with some very minor paint loss, overall very fine.
