Alien

An original budget used in the production of Alien, the 1979 science fiction classic directed by Ridley Scott with design from legendary Swiss surrealist H. R. Giger.

This is the original final budget for the production comprising of 46 pages bound between front and rear covers of blue card with the front featuring an applied label which is type written 'TWENTIETH-CENTURY-FOX PRODUCTIONS LTD, ALIEN, FINAL PRODUCTION BUDGET', additionally hand inscribed 'BILL FINCH' to the top corner for production accountant William Finch. The first page features a production schedule and the second a summary of production costs, the remainder of the budget is broken down in to various categories with figures for each expense noted, these covering every aspect of the production and totalling £4.4 million converted to $8.4 million, there are extensive annotations throughout the budget which are hand inscribed in pencil and pen, notably the entire page detailing the principal cast in hand written.

The budget measures approximately 11.5" x 8.25" and remains in excellent production used condition exhibiting some minor edge and cover wear from use and handling, generally fine.

An incredibly rare and interesting example of original production material from this influential science fiction classic.
