Adam Maitland (Alec Baldwin) nose appliance
An original appliance used in the production of Beetlejuice, the 1988 fantasy picture directed by Tim Burton.
This nose appliance was custom made by the production and worn by Alec Baldwin as Adam Maitland in the memorable transformation scene near the end of the movie. The nose is constructed from foam latex with a skin tone paint finish and features large nostrils to the underside with remnants of glue and prosthetics to one end where it was attached to his face during filming, some of the interior foam having been removed in order to accommodate Baldwin's real nose.
The appliance measures approximately 9.5" long and remains in remarkable production used condition with only minor paint wear and is entirely supple and soft to the touch.
A highly displayable principal character artefact from this well received Burton picture which won the 1988 Academy Award for Best Makeup.
