Crucible (The)

An original costume used in the production of The Crucible, the 1996 drama picture based on the play penned by Arthur Miller.

This bodice was worn on screen by Winona Ryder as Abigail Williams and can be seen prominently for the first half of the movie. The costume was bespoke made for Ryder by costumiers Jane Law and features a lace up front and separate arms laced on in the same manner with holes to the bottom allowing the skirt to be attached. To the interior the costume retains its original Jane Law costumiers label and a further tag to the arm from Angels the Costumiers.

The costume remains in excellent production used condition with some minor wear and age related discolouration.
