Saving Private Ryan

An original costume used in the production of Saving Private Ryan, the 1998 war epic directed by Steven Spielberg.

Jackets such as this can be seen worn by the 29th Infantry Division throughout the movie, the khaki military jacket features zip and button fastenings and is stamped to the interior arm 'US SPR' by Academy Costumes who supplied the wardrobe for the movie. The 29th Infantry Division insignia patch once present to the left arm was removed following the production with the original stitch marks still visible today.

The jacket remains in excellent condition with some very minor and barely visible red splatter marks, likely the remnants of studio blood, overall very fine.

A fine example of original wardrobe from this highly regarded modern day classic which was the recipient of five Academy Awards.
