Blake's 7

An original costume used in the production of the BBC science fiction television series Blake's 7.

From the episode Pressure Point this is an original dress worn on screen by Jacqueline Pearce as Servalan in the climactic scenes of the serial. Visioned by noted BBC costume designer June Hudson and referred to by her as the 'goddess dress' it was bespoke made for Pearce by the BBC Wardrobe Department. The dress is hand made from white crepe and features a highly decorative lizard to the breast area which is constructed from a wire frame wrapped in leather and adorned with various pieces of costume jewellery and mother of pearl.

The dress remains in generally excellent vintage screen used condition, very fine.

This represents an incredibly rare and desirable principal character wardrobe artefact from this cult science fiction series.
