The Prop Gallery appeared at the MCM Birmingham Comic Con held at The NEC Birmingham on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd November 2014. On display at our corporate stand were numerous artefacts used in the creation of various film and television productions including original props, costumes and model miniatures from favourites such as Doctor Who, Star Wars, Alien, Back to the Future, Indiana Jones and various Gerry Anderson productions including Space:1999 and UFO, many of which had never before been publicly exhibited.
We were also joined by two special guests from the world of visual effects who were on hand to discuss their work with fans and sign autographs. On Saturday was Academy Award winner Brian Johnson known for his work on classics such as Thunderbirds, Space: 1999, Alien and The Empire Strikes Back. On Sunday was BBC effects veteran and Model Unit supervisor Mike Tucker known for his work on cult television series such as Doctor Who and Red Dwarf.
With over 35,000 visitors on Saturday alone it was certainly a hectic weekend, we would like to thank everyone who stopped by and contributed to a memorable event.
