Superman

An original prop used in the production of Superman, the 1978 superhero classic starring Christopher Reeve and Marlon Brando.

This section formed part of the crystalline ice like city structure on the surface of the planet Krypton seen at the beginning of the movie in an effects shot created by Derek Meddings and his miniature effects team at Pinewood Studios. The crystal like miniature section is constructed of a semi translucent composite stone like material and measures approximately 6.25" long, it remains in good production used condition with some edge wear.

A rare and displayable miniature artefact from this superhero classic which received a Special Achievement Academy Award for its visual effects work.
