Gorg creature
An original Gorg creature used the production of the 1999 science fiction picture The Phantom Menace, the first instalment of the Star Wars prequel trilogy directed by George Lucas.
This Gorg is one of a number created by the creature crew for the production and used in the Mos Espa marketplace scenes on Tatooine where they were sold as food. Constructed from foam latex this highly detailed creature is expertly painted to resemble an amphibian, the Gorg features webbed feet and a tongue sticking out expression. This particular Gorg creature can clearly be spotted on screen during the movie as highlighted in the final images.
This impressive creature measures approximately 27" long and remains in excellent screen used condition, still soft and supple to the touch with some minor wear in places, notably the knees due to having been hung up during the production.
An extremely displayable creature artefact from one of the most influential and highly regarded franchises in cinematic history.
