Batman

An original prop used in the production of Batman, Tim Burton's 1989 superhero blockbuster starring Michael Keaton as the caped crusader opposite Jack Nicholson in his unforgettable portrayal of The Joker.

Signs such as these can be seen around Gotham commemorating the 200th anniversary of the city and throughout the parade held by The Joker (Jack Nicholson). The sign is constructed from plywood with an intentionally weathered yellow and black paint finish featuring an emblem of the city and 'GOTHAM 200TH' in white and red letters. The sign features two rivets and to the centre which hods a metal fixing used to rig the prop to the street lights on the full size Gotham City set at Pinewood Studios.

The large sign measures approximately 30" in diameter and remains in excellent production used condition with some minor paint wear most notably to the edges, overall fine.
